Chasing the Pink Petals Across the Peninsula

There is no season more poetic in Korea than spring, when cherry blossoms transform the landscape into a dreamlike world of pink and white. This tour for a photography group from Japan and Australia was meticulously timed to coincide with the peak bloom across various regions.

We began in the southern city of Jinhae for the Gunhangje Festival, Korea's largest cherry blossom celebration. The iconic Gyeonghwa Station and the Yeojwa Stream provided stunning "flower tunnels" for our photographers to capture. Our guides managed the group through the crowds to find the best quiet spots for long-exposure shots.

The journey continued along the 'Simni (10-ri) Cherry Blossom Road' in Hadong, often called the "marriage road" because of a legend that couples who walk here will live happily ever after. We ended the tour in Seoul at the Yeouido Spring Flower Festival, celebrating our successful photographic mission under the illuminated blossoms at night.
